Lake Lure & Chimney Rock
Lake Lure and Chimney Rock Village are well-known destinations for thousands of visitors each year from around this country, Canada, and abroad.
Located in western North Carolina, the towns sit in the heart of Hickory Nut Gorge, east of Asheville. The Rocky Broad River winds its way through a series of rapids down through Hickory Nut Gorge, and the crystal clear water flows through the valley that feeds Lake Lure.
Chimney Rock Village is best known for Chimney Rock State Park that offers hiking, bouldering and panoramic views of Lake Lure.
This area was hit hard by Helene and many businesses are not yet open, but there are a few businesses that have reopened and have online shopping available where you can show your support or donate to their relief fund. Help this community rebuild.
