Disaster Recovery Grants for Humanities Collections
Offered through the National Endowment for the Humanities. This page is an open call for applications from organizations affected by the Hurricane and Tropical Storm Helene and Hurricane Milton. No other applications will be considered.
Emergency response and recovery activities may include salvaging humanities collections such as rare books, documents, photographs, artwork, sculptures, historical objects, audiovisual media, and digital collections.
Western North Carolina Small Business Initiative
Was your small business harmed by Hurricane Helene? The Western North Carolina Small Business Initiative is here to help.
The initiative is partnering with local Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) to provide relief grants up to $25,000 to very small businesses across the region that sustained physical damage from Hurricane Helene.
Spruce Pine Disaster Recovery
Help Rebuild Downtown Spruce Pine - Tropical Storm Helene has devastated our beloved downtown, with many local businesses suffering significant damage. We are asking for your support to help us rebuild and restore our vibrant community. All donations will go directly to aid affected businesses, ensuring they can recover and thrive once again.
Small Business Hurricane Recovery Grant Program
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation has launched the Small Business Hurricane Recovery grant program in partnership with American Express to support small businesses impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
The program will provide $5 million in funding, distributing $5,000 grants to 1,000 eligible small businesses across the Southeast to support their recovery and help them build resilience against future disasters.
Eligible small businesses can apply now until Sunday, November 17, 2024, at 11:59pm ET.
Official Chimney Rock Village Disaster Relief Fund
The remnants of Hurricane Helene caused catastrophic flooding, landslides, and devastation in Chimney Rock Village, NC, resulting in major losses of the town's infrastructure. Your donations will go directly to provide additional assistance to citizens, residents, and businesses residing in or located within the Village at the time Helene hit and support rebuilding efforts. We appreciate your support now and in the upcoming months.
WNC Strong: Helene Disaster Relief & Business Recovery Resources
The WNC Strong: Helene Business Recovery Fund helps small businesses close the gap between when the disaster strikes and when federal loans, insurance payouts, and other disaster relief funds are approved, or businesses have time to recover and get back to business.
Dogwood Health Trust
Dogwood has invested more than $50 million in relief efforts so far across Western North Carolina, following the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene.
